Great sounding guitar! Initial P-90's sound ideal, the neck plays quickly and low and this guitar screams!
The Gibson Les Paul Special's we reissued in 1976 as a restricted edition that later on ended up being a stock item up into the 1980's. The Gibson Les Paul Specials had a set mahogany neck, 22 fret bound rosewood fingerboard, dot inlays. black headstock overlay, 2 black soapbar P90 pickups, four knobs, 3 method toggle switch, chrome hardware, 3 per side tuning devices, and a Tune-O-Matic bridge with stop tailpiece.
This guitar has been played and used for virtually 40 years and still sounds fantastic! The neck was broken (above the nut) and skillfully repaired over 20 years back, the tuning machines have been replaced (updated) with Grover rotomatics, and it looks like if the guitar body was refinished (though I don't understand that for sure). The original Gibson case has one working latch but it otherwise in extremely good condition.
This guitar has a spectacular tone.
